Larger Gatherings?
Planning a larger gathering? Sunset Fox Den is part of our riverfront retreat collection. An adjoining lodge is currently being completed and will soon allow larger groups, multiple families, fishing trips, reunions, and wedding parties to stay together while still enjoying their own private space. Once available, both properties can be rented together to accommodate larger groups.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire Sunset Fox Den cabin, the private deck, the hot tub, and the surrounding property during their stay.
Feel free to explore the beautiful riverfront grounds, enjoy direct access to the Manistee River, stroll along the private road, or wander through the wooded acreage surrounding the property. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful morning walk, a spot to watch wildlife, or simply a place to relax and enjoy Northern Michigan’s natural beauty, there’s plenty of space to explore.
Bring your fishing gear, rent a kayak, tube, or canoe, enjoy the river views, or unwind beneath the towering pines. The property is designed to help you slow down, reconnect with nature, and make yourself at home.
As part of our family-owned riverfront property, guests may see canoe and kayak activity along the riverbank during daytime hours, especially on busy summer weekends. Many guests enjoy watching the paddlers drift by and taking in the lively Northern Michigan river atmosphere. Activity is generally limited to a few hours during the day, while mornings, evenings, and nights remain peaceful and relaxing.
Other Things To Note
• Sunset Fox Den is located on a beautiful riverfront property surrounded by nature. Wildlife sightings are common, including deer, eagles, foxes, wild turkeys, and a variety of birds.
• The cabin sits on an elevated bluff overlooking the river, providing beautiful views from the deck and hot tub. Please note that stairs are required to access the cabin and riverfront areas.
• As part of our family-owned operation, you may occasionally see friendly staff members around the property during daytime hours, especially during the summer months. They’re there to help keep everything running smoothly and assist guests enjoying the river. Most activity is concentrated during the day, while mornings, evenings, and nights offer the peaceful Northern Michigan retreat our guests love.
• Guests may also see canoe and kayak activity along the riverbank during daytime hours, particularly on busy summer weekends. Many guests enjoy watching paddlers drift by while relaxing on the deck or enjoying the river views.
